A family story can start with one photograph

Find a photograph you want to return to. Who is in it, where were you, and what happened before and after the picture? Create a page for that person and add a memory with photos. Start with a grandparent, a friend or yourself; you do not need to complete your own profile first.

A story can be short: something your grandfather always said, a pie recipe or a visit to the summer house. Write what you remember now and return when another detail comes to mind. There is no need to reconstruct a whole biography at once.

Keep photographs with their stories

Add several pictures to one memory and explain why the day mattered. Browse them in the story or in the page’s album. Family photos keep their context: names, events and the words of people who were there.

Places from a life can have their own descriptions and points on a map. A childhood home, a familiar yard or a town your family moved to can help tell someone’s story. Open a particular place or see them together.

Remember together

One person remembers how the celebration began, another remembers who invented the game, and someone else kept the photos. Readers with the required access can leave a comment or propose their own story and pictures as a contribution.

Contributions keep their author’s name. They need approval unless the person has trusted access. Different details of an event can sit together, with a clear record of who shared them.

Choose your circle and who can read

You decide whose pages belong in your close circle: relatives, friends and animals. Describe a connection in your own words, such as “grandmother” or “childhood friend”, or leave it without a label.

Keep a page to yourself, share it with selected people or make it public. Memories have access settings too. Links and QR codes help you share a page while keeping its restrictions. If you later decide to build a family tree, you can use the pages you have already created.
